Your Job:

Our Medical Assistant NCT works under the general direction of the physician with the assistance of the clinical coordinator if applicable; reports directly to the office manager. You will provide health care to individuals and families as instructed by the physician; performs routine clinical procedures as directed by the physician; participates in patient education; enters appropriate documentation into patients’ health record; performs all other duties assigned within the scope of your certification.

Your Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years healthcare related experience in your field.
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Current approved medical assistant credential or credential obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Current NCT permit through the Texas Medical Board.

Your Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains strict patient confidentiality, and will use complete discretion when discussing patient information.
  • Implements patient care and patient follow-up to include the notification of lab results under, tasking messages, phone calls, and updating patient information under the guidance and direction of the all physicians and/or practice manager.
  • May perform intramuscular, intradermal of subcutaneous injections. With complete documentation.
  • Assists physicians and/or MA’s in providing nursing care to patients in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
  • Takes patient history and vitals.
  • Demonstrates an extensive working knowledge and practice of infection control procedures.
  • Cleans and disinfects all instruments and maintain QA reports for the autoclave.
  • Autoclaving weekly or biweekly depending on demand.
  • Performs all nurse / injection only visits with appropriate documentation.
  • Performs all X-rays and PFT.
  • Prepare FMLA forms and various documents that come in for physician review and signature. IE: Home health, prescription pre certs.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
