Looking for a friendly, outgoing, experienced Medical Assistant with experience to join our team in a fast-paced environment. This position is located at our Scottsdale location under a primary care physician.

  • Escorts patient to the exam room, obtain history, document in EMR, take patient’s vital signs (weight, pulse, temperature, blood pressure).
  • Verifies authorizations, and accepts or transmits fax information for needed physician patient information.
  • Clean and restock exam rooms. Maintains supplies in coordination with the office coordinator.
  • Return all patient phone calls in a mannerly time
  • Prepares treatment room for examination of patients.
  • Prepares patient charts in detail and reviews for accuracy.
  • Prepares patients and assists providers with exams and special procedures.
  • Schedules patients and provides all necessary information to prepare them for medical appointments and procedures. Provides scheduling services for patients with regard to lab work, x-rays, and referrals to other physicians.
  • Ensures lab tasks, office visits, and procedures are accounted for.
  • Receives telephone calls from patients, pharmacies, and others; documents and relays information to the provider for action. Phones pharmacy with approved medication orders/refills.
  • Performs a variety of front office duties as needed, including, but not limited to, reception, greeting patients, verification of information needed for billing and medical charting, telephone, chart maintenance, insurance forms, and scheduling.
  • Organize and communicate with insurance companies for authorizations for therapies, testing, and specialist referrals.
  • Performs duties requested by the manager in a fast-paced environment.
  • Documents all injections that are given

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
