Erickson Living is hiring for a Media Production Associate who will be responsible for accomplishing all phases of Erickson Living photography productions and video editing. This includes independently coordinating photo shoots and production tasks before, during, and after each project. This position can be required to take the lead in photo production and art direction.

PHOTOGRAPHY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Present new concepts/methods for photo consideration.
  • Offer feedback and critique of ideas presented by others.
  • Actively collaborate with team members to arrive at unified direction.
  • Participate in pre-production planning meetings
  • Receive download of specific strategies and document detailed goals.
  • Coordination with model agency account managers.
  • Select appropriate models for team’s consideration.
  • Arrange for contract, payment, and other logistics related to securing approved models.
  • Identify appropriate vendors for each production and coordinate scope of work to be preformed.
  • Inform points of contact at the community of the shoot and make special requests for a successful shoot
    (e.g. catering, transportation, landscaping, maintenance, etc.).
  • Provide detailed schedule, locations, and other information to all contacts for seamless onsite
    coordination.
  • Responsible for the coordination and preparation of materials necessary for the organization of photo shoots on location, both at communities and offsite, including in apartments, public venues and other areas.
  • Pre-production responsibilities including but not limited to media releases, meet and greet with resident handouts and materials, resident talent roster and call sheets, and production book.
  • Lead the efforts of packing of necessary wardrobe and props for each shoot.
  • Coordinate shipping to site of shoot when needed.
  • Serve as digital asset manager of all photography and documents in our cloud based asset management system.
  • Maintenance and ongoing organization of these assets based on corporate retention and photographer rights.
  • Manage the post-production process for photo digital assets.
  • Labeling of images for post-production edits.
  • Communication, coordination, and liaison with photography re-touchers.
  • Review and approve final assets.
  • Serve as photo re-toucher and make specific edits as needed.
  • Manage post production tasks including but not limited to ordering gift cards, writing and sending thank you notes, sending FedEx packages, scanning and filing media releases, ordering and sending production stills to resident talent, handling coordination of dry cleaning of wardrobe, returning wardrobe and props, and keeping wardrobe and props area clean and organized.

VIDEO EDITING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Present new concepts/methods for video and photo consideration.
  • Offer feedback and critique of ideas presented by others.
  • Actively collaborate with team members to arrive at unified direction.
  • Use creative decision making and professional software to edit footage for TV commercials and videos for social media channels and the Erickson Living website that are compelling, engaging, understandable, informative and current.
  • Using editing software, Adobe Premiere, to trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video.
  • Using motion graphics software, Adobe After Effects, to design and create necessary creative graphics.
  • Using the necessary software, compress and output final video in the appropriate format. Implement editing technologies and department’s best practices to maximize efficiency and create videos that uphold department standards.
  • Choosing and inputting music, audio, graphics and effects to ensure a consistent and appropriate look and feel.
  • Direct voice over talent in recording sessions.
  • Organizing and leading creative presentations, collecting feedback and executing necessary refinement to achieve a final and approved video.
  • Working in a server environment, organize raw footage in addition to project and final files.
  • Version scripts in preparation for voice over records.
  • Versioning graphics and audio when necessary.
  • Upload final spots to vendor, meeting all deadlines and specifications.

What we require:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Fine Art,
  • Design, Photography, Video) preferred In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree a minimum of 3 years professional production experience required.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with ability to learn other internal database programs.
  • Proficient on both the Macintosh (OSX) and PC computing platforms.
