Mechanical Engineer

We have an opening for a full time Mechanical Designer to join our Engineering team, headquartered in Pleasanton. We are seeking a Mechanical Designer who has the ability to work on multiple types and sizes of HVAC and plumbing systems in buildings and facilities infrastructure. The Mechanical Designer will work on a wide variety of projects in market sectors such as Education, Health Care, Advanced Tech, Government, and Commercial. The Mechanical Designer will be involved through all phases of the project, design and construction.

Typical Tasks:

Assists with the preparation of design drawings by performing:

• Site visits and evaluating existing equipment and systems
• Energy modeling and computerized load calculations
• Evaluation of appropriate mechanical systems
• Selection of mechanical equipment
• Ductwork and piping design using AutoCAD
• Control diagrams & construction details using AutoCAD.
• Coordination with other engineers and architects
  
• Quality control checks of construction documents

Job Requirements:

• Experience of the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for a broad range of applications
• Experience with New Construction, Renovations, and Retrofits
• Experience with the Design Build delivery method is a plus
• Strong knowledge of building and energy codes
• Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit experience is a plus
• Knowledge of EnergyPro software
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering

Salary: $75K-$90K, DOE
