Job Description

Looking for energetic, passionate, and capable math tutors to work at Mathnasium of San Jose Central. We offer rewarding part-time work in the central San Jose area with flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends). Applicants for the Instructor role should enjoy teaching math, and be able to motivate students to succeed. Ideal candidates include high school math teachers and college math, science and engineering majors. High school students taking Calculus AB or higher are also welcome to apply. Join our team of talented instructors and make a difference in a child’s life by passing on a love of math!

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional math skills through pre-Calculus and/or Statistics
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with students/parents
  • Enthusiastic and confident personality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach students in upper-level high school math courses
  • Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students

Hours may vary, but typically include mid-afternoon through early evening hours (Monday – Thursday and Saturday/Sunday mornings).
