As Lead of Apparel Materials Sourcing, you will lead and drive short and long-range materials sourcing strategies that will drive profitable and sustainable growth. You’ll build strong partnerships with Apparel Product Engine partners. You will be accountable for ensuring that your strategies deliver on Nike’s foundational sourcing goals of capability, sustainability, profitability and leadtime. Results-oriented and strategic, you thrive in a cross-functional environment, wearing different hats pending the topic or issue at hand. You are comfortable engaging with different partner groups, tailoring your messages accordingly and building strong partnerships. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON Working with your team and others, you’ll lead the Material Sourcing Strategy across the organization for your assigned classification. You’ll lead adoption & adherence of the sourcing direction based on regional, capability, and factory alignment needs. You’ll demonstrate your strong knowledge of the key vendor base to optimize alignment and capabilities. And, constantly elevate & evolve the long-range material sourcing strategy. You and your team will focus on delivering the goals for the season at hand and driving toward longer term priorities WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH As we are standing up the new MSM organization, you will interact closely with material sourcing partners on the Apparel & Footwear team. This role is the main point of connection between the Material & Product Sourcing team. Other critical partners include the rest of the AP/ACC MSM Team, Global Apparel Materials, Global Materials Planning, and SM&S. WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • 5+ years' work experience in a supply chain/material related environment, with Product Sourcing, Strategic Planning preferred
  • 2 years' additional relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • Strong strategic vision and ability to think creatively
  • Knowledge of apparel construction, textile manufacturing, and costing preferred
  • Comprehensive apparel source base knowledge including awareness of processes and events from product concept to delivery desirable
  • Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a strong sense of self-motivation
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and changing demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to resolve conflict
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, analysis, and reporting
  • Familiarity with Nike Planning and Sourcing Database systems, tools and reports desired
  • Ability to report into leadership, work with confidence across many areas of the organization
