I. Overview

The Materials Lead will own the warehouse operations and all material flows through the Glenwillow Service Technology Center supporting re-manufacturing. Maintain inventory control, Supply Chain Infrastructure and safe systems of work while driving continuous improvement to achievement of Business, operational, and financial goals for the multi-brand service requirements.

II. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience within material or production operations in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Two (2) years of proven leadership or supervisory experience require.
  • Prior experience using MRP systems (SAP Preferred)
  • 6s program experience.
  • Demonstratable experience in strategic involvement where individual judgment would have a direct bearing on company performance.
  • Well-developed inter-personal skills relating to internal members and global operational roles.
  • Familiarity with the principles of world-class supply chain management, its implementation and support.
  • Proven ability to deliver project objectives on time and to budget.
  • Excellent communication, time management and administration skills.
  • Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize transaction & planning systems.
  • Proven ability to work with an analytical approach using qualitative and quanitative tools and techniques.
  • Ability to drive customer success through the building of strong customer relationships and the delivery of customer centric solutions.
  • Ability to improve business results by embracing change and creating innovative ways for Edwards Vacuum to be successful, while taking on tough challenges in order to deliver results.

III. Key Accountabilities

· Manage and maintain a balanced organization possessing the necessary flexibility, technical skills, and experience to support short- and long-range requirements effectively.

· Coordinate departmental participation in the site Quality, Safety, and Environmental Program, taking a leading role in planning implementing, and monitoring the various projects.

· Responsible for the physical custody of stored service spares, WIP Held, customer pump returns, and pool pump the accuracy of inventory records.

· Plans, organizes, controls, coordinates, and administers the daily activities of hourly workforce for the shipping/receiving and stores.

· Responsible for the unloading, receiving of customer returns and service spares, and storage of all materials received at the Glenwillow site, which includes maintaining proper stock locations and inventory counts. Stock locations must be assigned to all stock items.

· Responsible for the delivery of Service Spares, Customer Pump Returns and Supplies to the production department within 24 hours of receipt of shipment to meet the production schedule. Paperwork flow and processing must be maintained.

· Responsible for the shipment of all dispatches within 24 hours of receipt of picklist using the most economical means to facilitate on time and safe deliveries.

· Coordinate / Monitor the arrival of air and sea imports in a manner that ensures the completion of the production plan and meets dispatch priorities.

· Appraise employee’s performance in accordance with established company policies.

· Establish training for all employees within the department in accordance with the needs of the individual and company.

· Undertake ad hoc tasks and/or projects relating to site business needs and personal ability and/or qualifications to perform such tasks as assigned by management.

· Drive a safety-first culture within the team and lead by example. Maintaining Forklift Certification and accreditation of a forklift certification training program.

· Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, cost reduction and process improvement through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and waste prevention and removal.

· Implements corporate policies and procedures for warehouse and transportation security (i.e. C-TPAT, EEI Filing, etc.)

· Supporting of equipment setup, leasing, renting and maintenance in the warehouse operations.

· Maintain and order Blue Bine Kanban materials, PPE materials and 3rd party shipping materials.

· Monitoring performance and working with Local SSC and Central SSC teams to improve the stock health of spares supplied from Edwards factories to Glenwillow Hub.

· Maintain data integrity through regular audits of job waiting parts or on build hold, accountability of WIP, inventory accuracy of exchange pumps as well as customer and deadcore pump returns.

· To support a supply chain infrastructure that enables achievement of business, operational and financial goals for the Edwards Services business in USA, Glenwillow Hub activities.

· Other duties as assigned.
