Job Description

We are searching for a Marketing Director - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of the company’s brand building, strategic business development, marketing, and advertising initiatives. Reporting to the CEO with a dotted line to the Chief Growth Officer, the Marketing Director's primary responsibility is to generate revenue by driving sales through establishing strategic customer, product, and partner relationships; and successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, promotions, product marketing, marketing communications, social media, advertising, events, and public relations. This is a 100% Remote position.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Plan Business Development, Marketing Strategies, and Brand Building:

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues
  • Keep abreast with new products and competitors
  • Perform market research and identify new product trends, strategic partners (e.g., mission-aligned adjacent brands, Yeti, Patagonia), and new market channel opportunities
  • Formulate marketing and brand frameworks and guidelines for the global organization
  • Develop marketing analytics tools and performance tracking
  • Develop and refine brand strategy for overall Crossover Meats brand as well as product sub-brands
  • Develop brand building and awareness campaigns to align Crossover Meats as the leading alternative all-natural meat products
  • Develop packaging design look and feel and design standards
  • Ensure brand messaging and collateral is consistent across all channels and countries
  • Work with Country Marketing Managers to ensure locally relevant brand messaging and collateral are still true to the brand voice
  • Manage social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) posting to create and maintain an audience of loyal followers
  • Design marketing campaigns and materials with end consumers to promote the brand and activate sales (B2C)
  • Design marketing campaigns and materials with foodservice operators, retailers, and distributors to promote the brand and activate sales (B2B)
  • Develop relationships with local press outlets to gain positive coverage
  • Organize and run experiential events to promote the product and capture customers


Manage Marketing Team:

  • Recruit, lead and motivate the marketing team
  • Provide feedback, support, and coaching to the marketing team
  • Ensure all timelines and deliverables are met and delegate tasks accordingly


Enable Sales Team:

  • Work with Chief Growth Officer to support product launches
  • Motivate and monitor sales team members to achieve sales targets, and suggest improvements
  • Support Sales Team as necessary to negotiate and close agreements with large, multi-outlet customers, including hotels, national restaurant chains, national retailers, and distributors
  • Ensure the sales team have the necessary marketing resources to perform properly, including training/brokers manuals, sales collateral, swag, and field sale tools
  • Liaise with other company functions to ensure the achievement of sales objectives
  • Identify the need/opportunity to run product or promotions and specials and execute campaigns
  • Organize and run trade shows to support the sales team in reaching further B2B customers


Manage Financial Performance:

  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Analyze sales figures to identify marketing and business development opportunities
  • Develop channel-relevant KPI’s t and consistently report on progress towards achieving them
  • Submit all receipts and documentation to Financial Manager on a timely basis
  • Review sales and company financial performance with the CEO monthly
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, and control expense


Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance or Marketing
  • 7+ years of combined B2B and B2C marketing experience, brand management, strategic planning, and financial decision-making. 3+ years of marketing experience in an F&B or FMCG company
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical research, leadership, and strategic planning
  • Proven track record in achieving KPIs and supporting sales targets through marketing initiatives
  • Experience in the food retail and hospitality industry is preferred
  • Experience with Sales Force Automation software applications preferred
