The Market Technical Director is responsible for developing the technical expertise, customer service skills, communication and presentation skills, and internal coaching and development skills of the Rentokil Technical Service Managers (TSMs) to provide effective support of Operations and Sales. The Director, and team of Technical Service Managers (TSMs), provide support, coaching, and development programs to ensure Rentokil provides pest control services that meet or exceed our customers expectations, and are executed by the most competent Pest Specialist in the Industry.
  • leverages internal data to effectively direct resources and develop
    solutions to support the business
  • identification of service delivery gaps and opportunities
    development of target training content and coaching activities
  • introduction of new products, devices & application equipment, development and implementation of field service protocols, standard-operating procedures and escalation protocols.
  • development of Rentokil service protocols for all Rentokil lines of business and ensuring all service offerings are performed in conformance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • acts with urgency, thinks and acts commercially, and effectively leads and develops the team of Technical Service Managers to support the needs of the business.
  • supports RNA innovation efforts through the coordination of field trials, customer site testing, and/or third-party testing in collaboration with the US and Global Innovation teams.
  • supports Rentokil Sales and Marketing teams with technical information, customer issue response and support, and provides presentations, articles and interviews in support of Rentokil business activities.
  • The MTD represents Rentokil at key accounts and prospects, and develops relationships with industry association, state and federal legislative bodies, and industry vendors.
  • advances the Rentokil safety culture through training support, field interaction with associates, and TSM conduct of facility audits and assessments. The MTD stays current on urban pest trends, pest management technologies and innovations, and integrated pest management solutions to ensure Rentokil provides best-in class customer service with the best trained, and most competent, Specialist in the industry.

What do you need?

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • 2+ years of Analytical Experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Previous experience in operations, logistics, and scheduling
  • This job is a remote position and occasionally may require travel.
  • Travel by Car and Airplane up to 20% of the time depending on geographic location.
  • Strong knowledge of office applications including Google Suite is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong process orientation with the ability to both create sustainable/repeatable business processes and hold others accountable to deliver through those processes
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and across all organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to live and operate within our values of service, relationships and teamwork
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search
