Job Description
Maintains production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost.

Analyzes production schedule, executes MRP to the plan and develop work around plans to preserve schedule.

Process engineering change notifications, change policies and procedures to ensure that all programs maintain the integrity of complex hardware and documentation throughout the project life-cycle.

Specific tasks include:

  • Process Engineering Change Notification, Change Policies and Procedures:
  • Process engineering change workflows in SAP
  • Update purchase documentation
  • Update work orders
  • Create record of change request (RCR)
  • Attend change control board (CCB) prepared to demonstrate positive control of work in progress and execute to effectivity
  • Administer compliance to the ECN, work order, purchase documents, and deviation policies and processes using EPDM, SAP and Procure 2 Pay (P2P) to implement changes.
  • Manage engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality assurance, supply chain and manufacturing to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Coordinated with supply chain and manufacturing to disposition material (scrap, rework, recalls, use as is) appropriately during ECN release. Update lifecycle for components identified as end of life (EOL) through Manufacturing Change Order to prevent material shortage.
  • Process overbuy/excess inventory (OBEX) requests in SAP to closure
  • Improve and maintain quality of the processes and products
  • Ensures adequate stock levels
  • Timely execution of supply documents
  • Demonstrate positive planning and controls
  • Demonstrates effective logistics, quality
management
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.

Time Management:

Manages workload with the appropriate sense of urgency and impact to the business. Prioritize and delegate tasks based on criticality; adjusts priorities when appropriate. Proactively ensures resources (equipment and materials) are available per demand to meet contract schedule. Allocates own time to complete work and utilizes available resources (individuals, processes, departments, and tools) to complete work efficiently. Uses time effectively and seldom allows unrelated requests or distractions from interfering with work completion. Timely coordination for MRP generation, Hardware Program Controls Directive, Bill of Material, work instructions, serialization, work order closures and workflow failure issues.

Technical:

Basic knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings and changes and MRP processes). Ability to differentiate between make/buy processes and requirements. Initiate timely interface resolution support to minimize impact to schedule or business.

First shift - ability to work overtime
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret DoD security clearance.
