Position Objective
An Operator II is proficient in the set-up, start-up, continuous operation and shutdown of the assigned Value Stream manufacturing equipment and processes using adherence to Standard Work Instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices and current Good Documentation Practices
Essential Job Functions
Follow all practices and procedures regarding safety and quality compliance including OSHA, cGMP, ISO 9001 & ISO 14000 requirements. Associate will participate in the continuous improvement process to include reviewing documents for accuracy and suggesting improvements using Danaher DBS tools and lean manufacturing methodologies.
Follow a weekly schedule which includes a high level of punctuality on scheduled workdays as well as adhering to production run times. Report any conditions that may hinder schedule attainment in a timely manner.
Read, follow and support the training of other associates on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work (SW).
Hold level of proficiency in area manufacturing processes and equipment associated with those processes.
Complete all documentation (e.g. Traceability’s) and follow all GDP guidelines related to manufacturing processes in a timely manner.
Monitor Critical-to-Quality (CTQs) media metrics for Value Stream through Statistical Process Control (SPC) – where applicable – to ensure the highest quality media possible. Report any non-conforming conditions that could impact quality and collaborate to troubleshoot and resolve those issues alongside appropriate teams.
Complete cleaning of the equipment and area to ensure our plant remains “as new”
Perform assigned preventative maintenance and improvement actions that support TPM efforts of manufacturing equipment. Collaborate with facility, maintenance and area Production Technician(s) to suggest improvements and participate in periodic equipment maintenance.
Raise any manufacturing process issues or "as new" equipment issues in a timely manner within 1 hour of occurrence to minimize scrap and downtime. When there is an issue, support the Problem-Solving Team with data collection and providing process knowledge expertise
Support the plant in goals as tracked on our Daily Visual Management boards by filling out trackers with data provided and understanding how metrics impact personal job responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with 2-3 years manufacturing experience
Push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
Bend during shift
Go up and down stairs to operate equipment
Good reading and writing skills
Good communication and social skills
Basic math and computer skills

Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic PM’s
Ability to use communication skills to exchange information
Kaizen, 5S, and Daily Management experience preferred
Experience in an ISO or cGMP environment preferred
