Job Description
Candidate will support the AGMS Mission area, including HELLFIRE, JAGM, & Launcher as a tool design engineer. This position will support custom tool design and the associated validation efforts and will require occasion travel to LM facilities. This position will include a high mix of part numbers and customers and the ideal candidate can manage multiple active assignments.
Individual will also support production yield investigations outside of tooling as workload allows and may be requested to work other Mission Area responsibilities such as Make/Buy, tired tooling, PIT, and/or Capital.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering related field.
  • 2 years of professional work experience
  • CAD/CAM experience with a focus on tooling, taking a concept through to final design and fabrication.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, and experience with manufacturing processes, precision machining/tolerances, and assembly sequences
  • Candidate should have hands on experience with building/assembling hardware, and the ability to clearly communicate instructions, verbally and written, providing clear direction for subsequent builds.
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Lockheed Martin experience with focus on production operations.
  • Working knowledge of LEAN -Six Sigma skills.
  • Familiarity SAP is a plus.
  • Able to ID and correct process issues and implement cost saving solutions (Affordability).
  • Familiarity with cable, CCA, or Gyro Optical Assembly manufacturing and design
  • Familiarity with Production Operations in Lockheed Martin.
  • Working knowledge of LEAN -Six Sigma skills.
  • Familiarity SAP is a plus.
