Our Manager, Supply Chain (Buyer/Planner) will plan materials requirements and place purchase orders from outside suppliers to support production schedules and new product launches, with increased complexity and volume. Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Negotiating pricing and delivery
  • Working with the supplier to ensure materials are made to the proper specs
  • Leading cross functional teams to resolve obstacles to meeting the schedule, including, but not limited to, resolving issues with non-conforming material, unclear specifications or vendor capacity constraints
  • Analyzing current Edwards and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) levels to determine if VMI release is warranted, and communicate inventory and future requirements to supplier
  • Expediting purchase orders as required. Includes expediting material from the receiving dock though receiving inspection, to production stores
  • Responsible for supplier related issues, including making recommendations on Quality reviews of rejected materials and determining final dispositions.
  • Performing a variety of complex analyses (e.g., pipeline, back-orders, scenarios)
  • Identifying, evaluate, and optimize supply chain alignment and opportunities while exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment to drive value for the business
  • Providing direction and guidance to teams to execute supply chain projects and/or initiatives
  • Establishing gross inventory targets and driving results to meet those targets
  • Updating parameters within the Manufacturing Enterprise system (e.g. JDE) to ensure system output accuracy
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of previous related experience in supply chain OR Master’s Degree and 6 years of previous related experience in supply chain

  • Excellent documentation, communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative skills
  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Ability to transfer essential knowledge and mentor other team members on specialized skills
  • Proven successful project management skills
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite
  • Expert in related database and supply chain systems (e.g., Qlikview, JDE/JDA)
  • Good facilitation and presentation skills
  • Extensive understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to local and/or global supply chain including FDA and ISO laws and regulations
  • Good knowledge of global regulations and restrictions applicable to distribution
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
