ABOUT THE ROLE

The main purpose of the Nickelodeon Amusement Park Manager is:

To function as a senior member of leadership to create a memorable guest experience and assume accountability for all aspects of Nickelodeon Universe Rides, staffing, training, budgeting and return on investment. Responsible for over 300 Ride Operators, in addition to directly Supervising 3 direct reports. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety and guest enjoyment and encouraging a positive work environment.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Provide strategic direction and focus to areas within the Attractions Department
  • Administer budgets for Nickelodeon Universe Rides
  • Oversee all departmental costs, ensuring that revenues are maximized through effective labor and COG’s management.
  • Create a culture of teamwork and mutual respect within all operations.
  • Support, direct and develop staff in best practices of operational management
  • Meet regularly with staff members assessing progress, updating operational issues and planning for future.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to supervisory staff and manager on performance opportunities
  • Support and advise training program for current and new employees ensuring that a well- trained, motivated staff is maintained.
  • Maintain a park presence through frequent contact with team members and guests while assessing needs in each location – staffing, maintenance, line speed, cleanliness, signage, ADA and safety
  • Assume all performance management for supervisory team in order to assure a solid succession plan
  • Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are being trained and followed.
  • Effectively resolve guest concerns and issues causing guest concerns
  • Ensure that all employees are complying with company policies and procedures
  • Work with operational groups, finance and marketing on industry best practices
  • Ensure staff members are operating attractions in compliance with DCA, Manufacturer guidelines, IRT and other regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with other 555 properties on industry best practices.
  • Regular, reliable and consistent attendance working evenings/weekends/holidays as required
  • Additional duties as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Post-secondary degree is business or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Attractions/Amusement Park environment
  • Additional experience in an operational role
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Previous operational/guest service experience required
  • Must be able to multi-task, remain extremely organized and be able to prioritize
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office)
