Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning marketing initiatives for the Raypak division, including but not limited to new product commercialization and launch activities, contractor support and programs, lead generation activities, digital marketing initiatives, and product promotion to the trade. This position works with other marketing leaders, such as advertising, public relations, online marketing, creative and trade shows/events to develop materials and execute planned marketing activities. He/she sits on new product launch teams, representing the voice of the customer, leads the marketing portion of product launch, and creates product value props and messaging for target audiences. This position is a key brand steward for Raypak, responsible for maintaining the integrity of each separate brand, creating appropriate marketing and promotional plans for each.

This position will serve our Raypak Division, located in Oxnard, CA.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide marketing leadership within the business unit as the leader of the product marketing team.
  • Manage marketing team members, including graphic designers, marketing specialists, market analysts, etc.
  • Manages vendor relationships and contractors, including price negotiation, finding new vendors to accomplish goals, and evaluating current vendors' value, making changes as necessary.
  • Represent marketing on Raypak product launch teams; lead the market launch planning and execution for all product launches to achieve product objectives.
  • Project management: ensure that all marketing projects are planned according to goals and executed on time and budget.
  • Brand stewardship: protects, implements, and supports brand identities and messaging; contributes to meeting the brand strategy's short- and long-term goals.
  • Customer segmentation: serve business unit as an expert, advising and teaching others as necessary.
  • Create media strategy, manage and execute national digital and print campaign including planning, creative and meeting media deadlines for B2B and B2C.
  • Recommend, advise and develop Raypak customer communications.
  • Demonstrate that business unit marketing plans and programs have helped achieve financial and strategic goals while supporting division goals.
  • Establish key reporting metrics on all programs and publications and establish reports to monitor progress and results.
  • Serve internal and external customers with marketing programs, promotions, and materials that meet their needs – sales, wholesalers, contractors.
  • Manage and maintain Raypak product literature.
  • Benchmark and evaluate competitor programs to evaluate program gaps and address them. Benchmark best practices within the industry as well across other industries to upgrade Rheem programs and publications portfolio.
  • Manage point of sale materials for wholesalers.
  • Manage external advertising agencies and partners.
  • Annual planning and budget development for Raypak marketing, tracking spend-to-budget year-round.
  • Review and report monthly budget status and recommend budget control actions.
  • Manage information and serve as a subject matter expert for the division.
  • complete and accurate understanding of technical specifications, features, benefits, advantages, and other considerations such as economic, demographic, and geographic needs and differences to deliver effective marketing.
  • Supervise accuracy of all materials – printed, online or other.
  • Oversee literature inventory management and reporting system. Ensure 24/7 visibility for effective fulfillment and budget management, trend assessment, and forecasting.
  • Work closely with marketing leaders to build and execute marketing plans on time and within budget.
  • Maintain close relationships with division leadership, sales, and product to ensure alignment on goals and objectives.
  • Build relationships with key wholesalers and contractors to stay in touch with market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Gather and report information that will help key stakeholders make better decisions – market and customer dynamics.
  • Gather, initiate, analyze and report on industry trends that inform product development, brand positioning, messaging, and various other decision.
  • Champion Raypak lead generation activities supported by targeted marketing efforts.
  • Champion Raypak digital marketing initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications


WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 4-year degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on marketing experience
  • Experience in Pool heating, industry preferred (or similar industry)
  • Excellent leadership skills: experience in successfully leading cross-functional teams that meet deadlines and objectives
  • Evidence of organizational skills and ability to lead complex projects and processes
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation; aptitude for drawing meaningful insights
  • Deadline oriented with proven task-completion record; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated team skills are essential in this cross-functional position
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and stress management practices
  • Demonstrated aptitude for critical thinking; ability to produce creative marketing solutions

  • Proficiency in creative thinking, writing, editing, proofreading, grammatical correctness, publishing practices, standard style rules, and expression of complex ideas in simple terms
  • Proficiency with entire Microsoft Office software suite, and other commonly used marketing software programs
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Must be a team player
