Job Description

The Manager, Global Compensation Operations Reporting and Information will lead all initiatives related to global compensation information delivery processes and tools, specifically within the compensation planning tool (HRCR) and in conjunction with HRIS tools (Oracle, OBIEE and Visier), finance tools (SAP, EPP), global payroll reporting and downstream systems such as MarketPay. The incumbent will collaborate with key compensation, HR and finance stakeholders to leverage systems, best practices, and tools enabling delivery of metrics, analyses, dashboards, data points, and descriptive reports aligned with ELC compensation, HR and finance strategies. The incumbent needs to understand the global compensation and related finance information needs and identify the best solutions to meet those needs. Proactively seeks to identify, develop, and implement, new and improved processes and measures to support and enhance compensation data reporting, interpretation, and delivery.

Develops conceptual designs and functional user requirements and manages implementation across all HR information delivery solutions, including functionality of new tools and capabilities based on ELC HR information needs. As needed, partners with HRCR system developer, One Source HR Functional and Reporting teams, and Information Technology (IT) group in the design and development of enhancements to HR Connect Reporting (OBIEE) platform and data integrations with HR Connect Dashboard (Visier) platform. Provides guidance and education across HR community on use of information delivery solutions and tools, including intermediate and advanced techniques for power users.

Under the guidance of the Director, Global Compensation Operations, and partnering with Global HR Workforce Analytics, OneSource Global Data, Reporting and Analytics teams the incumbent develops, communicates, and maintains the compensation information delivery strategies globally, and socializes across the stakeholders (e.g., HR, Compensation/Total Rewards, Finance). The ELC information delivery systems environment primarily includes, but is not limited to, the HR Connect (Oracle EBS) and HRCR application environment, Taleo Applicant Tracking and Talent Acquisition, the HR Connect Reporting (OBIEE) platform, the HR Connect Dashboards (Visier) platform, and general-purpose BI platforms Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.

The role requires a particularly close partnership with the Global HR Workforce Analytics and OneSource Global Data, Reporting and Analytics teams, aligning on consistent metric and data point documented definitions and collaborating together on the design and building of dashboard and descriptive reports, and growing an understanding of data and information needs to support advanced analytics and research activities specifically related to compensation data.

This role would have responsibility for the annual internal pay equity data analysis and review as well as ongoing periodic employee costing modeling and historical reporting. Also supports data and information needs for ELC MarketPay tool for compensation.

Responsibility for managing various user feedback surveys for compensation planning tools/processes and coordination with ELC Listens, OneSource, Global Communications, and other functions conducting related user surveys.

Must have a thorough understanding of key HR data structures and the underlying technologies used to capture and maintain HR data, ELC compensation philosophies and recognition of variations. The role also entails partnering with HR (Compensation, Talent) and non-HR (Finance, IT, Enterprise Data Management) functions on improving and operationalizing solutions that include shared and cross functional data elements, such as employee cost related metrics and analyses.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Mercer MarketPay reporting tool desired
  • Experience with Oracle HRIS preferred
  • Knowledge across the HR information domain, including job, demographic, total rewards, talent management, talent acquisition, learning, and leadership data and systems considerations
  • Demonstrated finance acumen and knowledge of employee costing, compensation/benefits components, and fringe rates
  • General familiarity with budgeting processes, with tie-ins to compensation practices/programs, including salary benchmarking, market pricing, turnover/retention analyses, stock based (LTI) comp plans, global mobility, and payroll taxation rules a plus
  • History of building collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, HR COEs, OneSource teams, and technical/functional support teams
  • Experience and confidence in preparing presentations for and interacting directly with Total Rewards and HR leaders to support information and analysis needs related to compensation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
