We are looking for a Manager, Content & SEO to significantly accelerate our brand awareness. This opportunity is a key role within the marketing team and this person will own the entire content and SEO strategy programs for Hotel Engine.

This individual must be highly motivated with outstanding content creation and copywriting skills and be extremely KPI driven. You will drive and execute the content strategy based on our core pillars, drive the SEO improvements, and support our PR thought leadership stories in order to increase our brand awareness goals. Essential Functions:

  • Build a data-driven content strategy and own content pillars to increase brand awareness.
  • Own and develop multiple streams of the content calendar for our demand generation, SEO and PR activities.
  • Create campaigns to place our brand and content on platforms that amplify our message.
  • Produce and publish content across all formats, creating briefs for partner agencies and freelancers.
  • Work with the growth team to develop demand generation content that can be leveraged in our marketing campaigns to drive more leads.
  • Create customer case studies and testimonials across multiple formats, including video.
  • Manage our SEO strategy with our agency to improve ranking on our core keywords.
  • Implement a consistent SEO consistent strategy for in-house produced content and optimize existing pages that are out of SEO agency scope.
  • Collaborate with our PR agency on thought leadership and brand awareness initiatives and manage and content production agencies related to these initiatives.
  • Help grow our digital communities, and drive engagement with social-first content.
  • Own all website copy content with a focus on UX copywriting for experience and conversion.
  • Writing, editing and proofreading content efficiently and at scale, ensuring a consistent Hotel Engine tone of voice.
  • Be able to communicate clear creative briefs for content with our graphic design team.
  • Analyzing and reporting on metrics to measure the impact of the content strategy against business goals.
  • Build content partnerships to expand our online visibility.
  • Manage marketing blog including creating content, and manage guest bloggers.
  • Appoint and manage internal/external contributors to assist in producing content.
  • Report to the VP Marketing

Required Education & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • 4-7 years relevant content marketing experience in house or in agency or similar roles focusing on content and asset creation.
  • Experience in creating and rolling out a content strategy built for demand generation, SEO and thought leadership to drive increased brand awareness.
  • A proven track record of results across multiple content marketing channels.
  • Have first-class copywriting skills and be able to create very engaging copy and on-brand campaigns for both internal and external audiences.
  • You are a skilled storyteller with exceptional writing and editing skills in English; additionally, you have strong visual communication skills.
  • Broad range of experience across different formats (I.e., Long form, short form, video, blogs, infographics, and webinars).
  • Expert in SEO optimization and good knowledge of SEO copywriting.
  • Experience in managing SEO and PR agencies as well as external writers/freelancers.
  • Experience in providing proactive communications/storytelling advice to senior management.
  • Experience within B2B, digital products or software as a service and/or experience in an agency with a broad range of upper mid-market / enterprise brands (Travel, FMCG, Lifestyle, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge in tooling across CMS, Analytics, SEMRush, Social Media Monitoring Platforms (Falcon, Sprout), Video Creation and Hosting Platforms (Wistia, Vidyard, Playplay.)
  • Exceptional and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in taking ownership from top-line targets to executional detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle many simultaneous priorities in a fast-paced environment while keeping quality standards.
  • Strong experience on content program effectiveness and impact measurement.
  • Self-starter and independent but also a solid team player, we achieve more as a team!
  • Detail-oriented and excellent problem-solver.

  • Ability to legally work in the US (sponsorship not available).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Base Salary: $80,000 - $110,000

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no initial direct reports.
