Reporting to the Director of Benefits, the Manager Benefits will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, delivery, administration and compliance of our benefits programs.   • Manage the organization's benefits programs including but not limited to medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, retirement savings, and life insurance.
  • Manages open enrollment process. Schedules and leads meetings or information sessions, employee communications, partners with HRIS team to set up systems, answers questions or inquiries, and transmits enrollment data to vendors or administrators.
  • Maintains relationships with vendors, brokers and carriers for seamless administration.
  • Oversees benefits compliance management. Partner with our benefits brokers to ensure our benefits are meeting all legislative requirements including, but not limited to 5500 filings, FSA discrimination testing, annual 401k audits, ACA reporting and required notices.
  • Develops recommendations to optimize costs, maintain external competitiveness, align with organizational goals, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage, coach and mentor benefits team in their day-to-day administration benefits programs
  • Partners with communications in the preparation and development of communication materials and information about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures
  • Partners with HRIS to advise on best practice and implement improved processes.
  • Works with leaders across functional areas on shared initiatives to enhance and deliver exceptional benefits and total rewards programming
  • Manages benchmarking of market surveys to obtain data on benefit trends, determine competitiveness of benefit offerings and/or to obtain data supporting recommended changes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of ten years’ experience or equivalent
  • Completion of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to conduct highly complex work, unsupervised and with extensive latitude for independent judgment
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise the highest level of discretion
  • Experience with HR systems is required; Workday proficiency is strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven abilities in managing multiple projects in a face-paced and ever-changing regulatory environment
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems, generate solutions, and implement recommendations
  • Strong organization skills, accuracy, and high level of attention to detail
  • Team oriented with ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
