Job Description

Overview & Responsibilities
Data plays a central role at ViacomCBS Streaming, and as part of the Data & Insights Group (DIG), our Measurement Operations team is a crucial part of our success. The Measurement Operations team is responsible for overseeing the implementation of analytics data that powers business, product, and operational decisions. We are looking for a Director of Quality Assurance to lead our Analytics QA team. The position is anchored around providing accurate and timely data quality assurance for our streaming service, Paramount+.

ViacomCBS Streaming is looking for a Manager, Analytics QA Engineering to join its Measurement Operations team to ensure world-class data quality for Paramount+. You’ll be overseeing a team that works closely with our analytics implementation engineers to gather test requirements, execute test plans, and perform both manual and automated testing on a variety of new and existing applications on web, mobile, and OTT platforms. The ideal candidate should have the interest and ability to lead advanced QA projects related to the implementation of analytics platforms and data collection.

Responsibilities:
Oversee a team that conducts quality assurance of data collection on all releases, new features and bugs for Paramount+, ensuring the highest quality of data collection while adhering to release timelines
Lead quality assurance initiatives and work closely with engineers to drive continuous quality improvement across various QA teams
Drive QA roadmap for the Measurement Operations team
Communicate business impact of measurement bugs and omissions and influence prioritization
Develop the tools, reporting and infrastructure for an outstanding quality assurance program
Identify release blockers and effectively advocate for resolution
Oversee writing of test plans, test cases, and provide suggestions in improving the QA processes.
Assist in creation of workflows necessary to meet timelines without sacrificing quality
Find meaningful insights to improve support performance - both at the teammate level and for stakeholders and partner teams
Foster collaboration, engagement, and performance both within Measurement Operations and externally with our vendor partners
Support Measurement Operations team in the management of QA, operational, and administrative needs of their assigned projects
Assist development of Measurement Operations QA program to scale our QA efforts as we continue to expand our platform count
Support development and deployment of QA automation frameworks for web properties, mobile apps, and OTT platforms in collaboration with automation lead
Represent the Measurement Operations team in meetings as domain specialist on data quality assurance
Participate with product and engineering in sprint planning and bug triage efforts
Promote adoption of QA tools and processes, including training and documentation of their use
Provide support to stakeholders using data as needed to make them aware of any outstanding bugs or necessary workarounds
Work with SCRUM and Product leads to secure release timelines

BasicQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in technical or quantitative oriented field
3+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
1+ years of experience managing Quality Assurance Teams
Experience managing manual testers and automation testers
Experience in identifying and implementing automated testing tools and frameworks
Strong people management skills with a proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining high performing talent
Strong project management skills, preferably with experience in an agile development environment and continuous integration
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
2+ years of experience delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives
Ability to engage and influence team members via quality documents, data and verbal/written communication
Exceptional writing and verbal communications skills
Attention to detail paired with a passion for achieving the utmost data integrity for our tracking
Experience with writing test plans, test cases, and provide suggestions in improving the QA processes
Interest in learning about measurement tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Comscore, Nielsen)
Knowledge of how to monitor network traffic using proxying tools (Charles, Wireshark, Chrome DevTools)
Knowledge of release and regression testing methodologies
Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with JIRA and Confluence

Additional Qualifications:
Experience with QA in mobile applications and/or OTT platforms
Hands-on experience using automation tools (e.g. Observepoint, BrowserStack, etc.)
Knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium Webdriver, BrowserMob, Appium, etc).
Testing experience with mobile applications and OTT platforms using debugging tools (e.g. ADB/Xcode)
Ability to define standard methodologies for testing tools
Experience with Adobe Analytics implementations
