Maintenance Mechanic With Welding Skills

American Custom Drying has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic in its Burlington, NJ facility. The company has been in business for more than 50 years and provides contract manufacturing services to the Food and Soft Chemical markets.

The Maintenance Mechanic ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems. Must be willing to work on weekends and/or be on call for emergency maintenance repairs when required.

Requirements:

Mechanical ability to work on pumps, piping, bearings, conveyors, mixers and other plant equipment.

Welding skills using stick and tig. Welding on stainless steel and carbon steel. Repairs and fabrication of food grade equipment and piping.

Able to work well with and communicate with all plant teams to optimize plant operations.

Experience working with a preventative maintenance program.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred; Formal Engineering/Maintenance Training desired

Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
