Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

The General Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
This job will include manage the Village Maintenance team in New York

Responsibilities

Subject but not limited to…

· Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems

· Repair & Maintenance of Carpentry, Electrical, Painting, Plumbing & Welding

· Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.

· Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.

· Replace light bulbs and repair light fixtures

· Maintain and repair refrigeration systems

· Make all general carpentry repairs, included but not limited to the following:
floor tile repair, ceiling tile repair, minor masonry repair, diamond plate, polysan repair, door handle/knob repair

· Make all general plumbing repairs

· Testing and recommending new maintenance products

· Coordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliers

· Keeping documents of inspections and problems

· Order supplies from multiple vendors where needed to perform a job

· Responsible to manage the repairs for Fairway, Gourmet Garage and Shoprite stores in NY

· Manage the field team with their schedules and dispatch the repairs requested by store manager for the Village Maintenance team
Experience and Skills Required: The ideal candidate can demonstrate:

· Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and welding

· Knowledge of electrical wiring installation and repair

· Knowledge of refrigeration systems

· Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues

· Administrative skills for ordering supplies, handling records and scheduling maintenance

· Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment

· Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking

· Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues

· Ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions

· Organizational and time management skills

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Experience on Excel and Power Point is preferred.

· Related experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
