Machine Operator/Assembler

About Position

A premiere partner, a leader in manufacturing plastic bottles and containers is hiring in New Albany, OH. These are entry level & intermediate level positions and training will be provided. This is a packaging and machine operating position combined into one.

Full time schedules are available with the opportunity to work overtime. 12 hours shifts ran on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Schedules Available:

A: 6:45A-7:15P

B: 6:45P-7:15A

Compensation: $15.15/hr. - $15.75/hr.

Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for following all safety rules of the plant

· Make boxes and placing them on the conveyor so bottles may tumble pack into them

· Check bottles for defects prior to closing the box and each hour as required for visual checks

· Print label, verify product on the label matches the product in the box, place label on box, seal box, write initials on the labels, place sealed box on the proper pallet

· Fill out forms and keep white board updated as required

· Rework/sort bottles for defects as needed

· Must always keep work area clean

· Accurately record scrap, downtime, and production on/for the production/scrap tracking

report

· Maintain housekeeping as needed and at the end of the shift

· Immediately informs shift/department crew leader of any changes in product quality or machine operation

· Perform any other duties as requested by the shift/dept. crew supervisor

· Clearly communicates with prior and subsequent shift associates

Candidates MUST:

· Have 6 - 12 months of proven work history

· Pass pre-employment screening

· Physically be able to work 8-hour shifts, a lot of standing, moving, stepping, hand coordination etc.

· Follow onsite policies

· Maintain a productive pace of work
