Greater Nevada Credit Union is currently seeking a Loss Mitigation Specialist to join our Greater Nevada Branch in Carson City, Nevada.

The day to day job duties of a Loss Mitigation Specialist will assist with the collection processes which includes, but is not limited to: negative share collection, repossession assignment, recovery maintenance, anti-money laundering and BSA processes, credit monitoring, bankruptcy record maintenance, and charge off processing.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Effectively demonstrate our vision and purpose as an organization by “Helping More People Live Greater"
  • Prepare payment agreements for negative share accounts and follow-up on payments.
  • Perform logistical, organizational, and report generation duties to support the efficient operation of the assigned areas of expertise, to include the preparation and maintenance of needed reports, tracking statistical information for those reports and balancing the identified reports.
  • Coordinate and process bankruptcy litigation.
  • Review and analyze transactions and create reports for Federal BSA filing.
  • Coordinate payment arrangements with members, and follow up in a timely manner on such arrangements, properly documenting accounts as contact with each member is made.
  • Promote Loan Modifications and Deferments to support GNCU’s membership and contribute to a reduction of overall delinquencies by negotiating solutions that are mutually beneficial to the client and Company.
  • Assist with card disputes and fraud investigations.
