SCOPE & BASIC FUNCTION
:

  • Support all the administrative responsibilities for the Distribution Center at various locations. In addition, assisting with the cycle count and other inventory control functions, communicating with carriers, DC operators and coordination of in/out shipments with the 3rd party warehouse, and general office duties. The logistics coordinator is the central point of contact at the distribution sites.
  • TN - Includes support of the Assembly, and the Service – Repair / Return operations. This will also include occasional support for the TN based Sales, COF and Operations management.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
:

All DC sites:

  • Regular attendance is required to maintain the functions of the job
  • Acquire and maintain Microsoft software capabilities: Word, Power point, Excel, and Access as well as maintain and enhance AS400/WMS capabilities
  • General office duties-Manage general voice mail messages, fax distribution, mail sorting, and incoming/outgoing FedEx/UPS packages. Filing BOL/pick ticket information by order by ship date in the filing cabinets
  • General office duties-Field and address routine issues involving rebates, shortages, credit memos, RGA’s, etc.
  • Update and maintain WMS/AS400 for outbound shipments and receipts, to ensure WMS/AS400 match in terms of ship confirmations, tracking information, and qty shipped/received
  • Print orders/labels and organize orders by request date/ by carrier in the office order box and manage the orders physically and systemically to ensure we meet our service level requirements
  • Monitor orders on the floor and ensure once the orders have been handed out are completed in terms of signatures and dates and verify in the WMS the order status is pick completed.
  • Traffic-Enter routing data via the customer web site and ensure routing requirements meet customer specifications or expectations
  • Proactively identify shipping problems by using the WMS order dashboard and swiftly implement the appropriate solution
  • Establish and coordinate schedule with outbound/inbound carriers and maintain a daily log for carriers to sign in and out
  • Shipping support – arrange carrier pick-ups along with coordinate/scheduling of incoming shipments
  • Corporate support – Facilitate communication between other DC sites and all other Woodstream departments
  • Woodstream Support-Filed and address routine and non-routine questions from customer service and other departments within Woodstream
  • Perform other duties as request or assigned, serve as a backup to the shift supervisor or DC Manager during peak times or when the shift supervisor/DC Manager is off site.
  • Inventory Control-Help perform and record shipper accuracy audits. Perform and record cycle counts of items per our establish programs as well as problem solve any variances that are discovered.
  • Perform order audit and a few other ones like duplicate bins, aging, neg pick locations, reserve pallets with <0 qty, etc

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Proficient in AS400 & WMS
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
