Job Description

Summary:
The Post Closing Specialist is responsible for executing a variety of Post-Closing activities such as ensuring liens are perfected, critical physical documents are secure, flood insurance monitoring, letter and force place process, HMDA verification and completion of HMDA LAR, CRA verification, and the paid loan and collateral/lien release process. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to;
Job Duties:
1. Quality Assurance
a. Post booking review of commercial, consumer, and real estate loan documents and system data to ensure data integrity in the Core system
2. Accurate and timely Lien perfection by preparing and gathering required documentation, fees and submitting for recordation
a. Automobile Titles for recording in various states
b. Real Estate lien instruments for recording in various counties
c. UCC’s for recording through third party software
d. UCC Continuations
e. Monitor and communicate third party software notifications of borrower name changes, UCC filings, flood zone changes, etc.
3. Document Exception Tracking
a. Add ticklers for collateral/lien documents as needed in exception tracking system
b. Confirm trailing documents received satisfy the requirement of the tracked item
c. Update / clear tracking items in system accordingly
d. Monitor UCC continuations and process as necessary
4. Insurance Monitoring Process
a. Flood Insurance
i. Confirm flood insurance coverage is appropriate
ii. Track Flood Insurance policy expiration (including coverage)
iii. Perform the Flood Insurance Letter process
iv. Complete Flood Insurance Force Placement process as applicable
b. Review the TCB loan file for accuracy and submit to third party responsible for monitoring vehicle insurance coverage
c. Monitor and manage any other insurance programs put in place
5. File Compliance Assurance
a. Ensure required physical documentation is in file for types determined by management
b. Collect and analyze reportable HMDA lending data
c. Prepare the HMDA LAR
d. Collect and analyze reportable CRA data
e. Provide research and response documentation to Compliance examiners
f. Prepares, mails and logs Adverse Action letters
6. Paid Loan Process

a. Receive and work paid loan report
b. Verify proper authorization received for full and partial collateral/lien releases
c. Prepare lien releases and recorded with appropriate filing offices
d. Safely release and deliver physical collateral with sufficient approval
7. Perform Entity and Lien Search Requests
8. Scan and index trailing documents handled in the process
9. Assisting with the scanning and indexing process to manage backlog
10. File physical original notes and collateral documents as appropriate and ensure securely stored
11. Receive and Distribute incoming U.S. mail and original loan packages
12. Provide direct customer service to lending officers/assistants, loan operations staff and other areas of the bank, to fulfill requests.

Qualifications ?

High school diploma or GED required.
? Minimum of two years attending business school or university (preferable)
? Minimum of five years with loan operations working experience in the area of expertise indicated in this job description required.
? Current and thorough working experience with HMDA and CRA regulatory reporting requirements
? Subject matter expert with property flood insurance requirements
? Working experience with loan/collateral document tracking
? Working experience with CORE loan accounting software programs
? Working experience with Word, Excel (Intermediate+), and proficient using Outlook.
? Confidence and working experience with communicating well with internal customers by all means of communication including written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.
? Service oriented team player; willingness to share knowledge/skills and learn from others.
? Self-motivated, ability to work independently without instructions.
? Ability to multitask and properly prioritize, change quickly and work in a high pressure fast pace environment.
