Job Description

FinishResponsibilities: As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will:
  • Provides skilled nursing care as outlined in the patient plan of care, under the direction of a registered nurse, to include the following:
    • Nursing services, treatments and preventative procedures requiring substantial, specialized skill as directed by the RN.
    • Observing signs and symptoms and reporting to the RN reactions to treatments, including drugs, and changes in the patient’s physical or emotional status.
    • Teaching, supervising, and counseling the patient and family members regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home under the RN’s direction.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of the interdisciplinary patient care plan as it pertains to nursing.
  • Provides clinical care team updates on the patient’s current physical and emotional status, any change in the patient’s condition.
  • Maintain up to date charting on each patient.
  • Participate in case conferences, in-service and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • LPN license in good standing in the state of Florida.
  • At least one year experience providing skilled nursing in the home or acute care setting that requires heart, lung, and complete physical assessment.
  • Maintain an active CPR certification and card at all times.
  • Maintain current continuing education as required by state license.
