License Vocational Nurse (LVN)

$3,600 Sign on Bonus

We have openings for all shifts and weekends, with a weekend shift differential.

The Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing high quality nursing care to his/her patients. This is accomplished by making regular visits to patients wherever they reside, communicating regularly with the hospice Case Manager and Interdisciplinary Team, identifying patient/family/care giver needs and providing for those needs in accordance with the attending physician's orders and the IDT plan of care. The position requires the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, other IDT team members and, if the patient lives in a nursing home, with the nursing facility staff. LVN's are expected to follow and role model the LightBridge

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

-Current license to practice as a licensed vocational nurse in the State of California
-Valid Drivers License and Proof of Auto Insurance Coverage-
-Preferable one (1) year of experience as a professional nurse within the last three (3) years
or
-Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to the needs of patients, families and caregivers in varied settings and to function effectively in a nursing facility environment.
-Demonstrated skill in nursing practice, ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles.
-Ability to handle multiple priorities, documentation requirements and deadlines.
-Able to travel to multiple locations in the course of the working day/week.
-Reliable transportation with required insurance coverage
