Lead Shop Mechanic

• Construction Company looking for an experienced mechanic to take us to the next level in maintaining and repair of equipment/trucks/trailers.
• Must have ability to work on all makes and models of heavy equipment, fleet trucks, road tractors, trailers etc.
• Monthly maintenance as needed, prep trucks and trailers for DOT inspections. Should be able to do most major repairs.
• Coordinate with Project Manager priorities in repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Responsible for Shop organization, ordering parts and cleanliness.
• Coordination with office staff on paperwork needs.
• Keep up maintenance/repair records for all equipment and trucks.
• Most work will occur at shop however some work will need to be performed in the field.
• Limited weekend work.
• Can expect some overtime during the week.
• Computer experience a plus.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and have a valid drivers license with good record. No registered sex offenders. We are drug free, Title VI and equal opportunity employer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,600.00 - $54,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• King George, VA 22485: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
