About the Role

Our team thrives on collaboration and co-creation. As Lead Experience Data Strategist, you will work on a cross-functional team solving complex organizational challenges. You will own development, scoping, and execution of critical data analysis and measurement in support of innovating and transforming a range of internal tools, systems, and software to create efficiency, improve productivity, and deliver on overall business success.
You will bring a strong background in using data to build narratives that highlight and contextualize business and customer opportunity to help set the vision of the project and lead team members in the execution of data analysis and the creation of actionable, data-driven deliverables and recommendations. You will partner with Research Leads to articulate and validate customer behaviors and use data to relate back to business value. You will coach non-analytical thinkers to vet their concepts against what is known about target audiences and business needs and advocate for data-driven decision making across all aspects of a project. You will facilitate conversations with clients to understand their business and experience ambitions and translate that understanding into comprehensive measurement plans. You will help craft strategic visions, roadmaps, and measurement plans with clients while providing clear direction for your team.
Partnering with our Engagement Managers and Design Principals, you will be the main point of contact with clients for all things Data and Measurement, developing lasting relationships over time. You will help lead workshops, present to client teams, and speak fluently about both business goals and user needs. Both colleagues and clients will look to you to set the bar for quality and innovation.
You will also help contribute to and lead internal project initiatives, skill-specific coaching for Ogilvy Data Strategy team members, engaging in sales efforts, creating thought leadership and other marketing support materials, and setting a positive, supportive, and professional tone. Responsibilities: RESPONSIBILITIES Here’s what you’ll be doing to lead Agency and Client growth
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Ogilvy colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Be a strategic thinker who can evaluate customer experience ecosystems and touchpoints to recommend a data or measurement strategy and lead execution
  • Bring strong expertise and point of view on data and insights that allow us to drive more impactful, data-driven experiences across our client’s digital touchpoints
  • Be adaptable and self-starting as we will be forging new paths together as we innovate on data and experience for our client
  • Be a champion of data-driven thinking and culture across our agency and client team

Client Relations
  • Gain client’s trust as a valued expert and business partner, bring a unique data and measurement lens to all conversations
  • Relate well to people across disciplines (including non-data/analytics stakeholders), at all levels (junior, peer and senior) within the organization
  • Build strong partnership with client’s data team
  • Become an expert on client’s data landscape and determine how to best leverage different data sources, while recommending future data collection infrastructure optimizations
  • Educate clients on how to think about leveraging data to drive human-centered decision-making
  • Constantly monitor and manage client’s expectations
Communications Skills:
  • Effectively communicate the value of our data-driven, measurable approach – articulate how we use data to ensure our work is aligned to business and customer priorities
  • Lead development and delivery of client presentations to ensure the data narrative is clear and connected to broader brand and business strategies
  • Write well-structured and persuasive end products, including strong insights with strategic implications
  • Explain complex concepts in a digestible way
  • Communicate good, data-driven ideas frequently and effectively in all settings

Analytics and Measurement:
  • Analyze data to distill insights on customer behaviors, needs and pain points – experience developing data-driven artifacts (customer segments/personas, journey maps, etc.) is preferred
  • Analyze data to identify and size impact of business opportunities
  • Analyze data to evaluate effectiveness of existing touchpoints and recommend opportunities for improvement
  • Integrate quantitative and qualitative findings to tell holistic story
  • Use data to triangulate customer and business value to drive prioritization of initiatives
  • Translate business and customer goals into actionable measurement frameworks, including measurable outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop holistic experience measurement strategies from a variety of data sources
  • Identify opportunities for use of various insights techniques such as segmentation, predictive models representing customer behavior
  • Develop business cases
  • Develop test and measurement plans
  • Advise on dashboard and data visualization solutions
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Here’s what you’ll bring to the table
Ideal candidates would have experience in some of the below offerings:
  • 5+ years proven experience working with digital websites, products or MarTech solutions as a consultant, data analyst or business data analyst in a client facing role
  • Hands on experience with web analytics and reporting tools (examples include Google Analytics, Hotjar, Amplitude, Quantum Metrics, etc.)
  • Proficient with using data to segment audiences and create user journeys
  • Experience working on digital experience projects and collaborating with strategy, design, research, content and technology
  • Knowledge of Adobe application suite (including Marketo, Target, Audience Manager, Experience Manager)
  • Knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (Segment)
  • Familiar with regression analysis, segmentation, predictive modeling, brand measurement, media performance analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations from data
  • Strong understanding of analytics tagging principles, best practices, and tools (Google Tag Manager, Tealium, etc.)
  • Experience with iterative testing methodologies (A/B, multivariate) and tools (Optimizely, Google Optimize, etc.)

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Ogilvy provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $105,000 – $130,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical locations.
