Laser Operator

Duties:

• Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures.

• Stage raw materials at work-center for the day’s production. (Fork Lift Operation)
• Load and unload machine with correct sheet sizes and label parts with correct part numbers.
• Maintain daily dust collector service and report equipment deficiencies.
• Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the Manufacturing Engineer.
• Perform operator level maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations.
• Facilitate work-order paper flow in accordance with Company Standards.
• Help with training of new hires on machine functions and Company Processes.
• Check parts to ensure they are within tolerance and Company Standards.
• Monitoring assist and resonator gas levels and recommend supply requirements for daily production.
• CNC programming at post when required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of flat metal layout considering growth and bend allowance.
• Complete understanding of press brake forming techniques and brake sequences.
• Analyzes plans, drawings, layouts, and work orders to determine work requirements of sheet metal assignments.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings, sketches, layouts and blue prints.
• Ability to understand and effectively carry out complex oral and written instructions.
