Job Description
Diamondback Sand and Rock in the West Valley has openings for the position of Laborer.
Laborer Position includes:
Ability to safely perform general labor duties.
Must be able to safely operate a variety of hand tools.
May need to assist in machine maintenance and repair activities. Perform other miscellaneous mining activities as required in surface mine.
Job Responsibilities:
Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, bend and lift-up to 80 pounds.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures for long periods of time.
Must be able to meet all Mining Safety and Health Administration rules and safety requirements and adhere to company safety policies. Current MSHA certification a plus. MSHA training is provided.
Effective communicating for both operational efficiency and safety coordination with other operators and ground personnel.
Qualifications:
Good verbal and written communication skills
Authorization for pre-employment background check and drug screen
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
