Laborer III

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Supports Technicians for installation of communications and equipment on military and commercial ground, water, and aviation platforms. Performs supporting duties to achieve Technician Level I entry level status.

DUTIES

• Assist Senior Tech with mechanical/harness fabrication and installation onto various platforms
• Support Senior Tech with continuity and power checks
• Train to test equipment to validate system operation and checkout
• Train to read, understand and work from engineering drawings.
• Assist Senior Technicians in pulling Trial, Kit Proof, and Production Kits
• Train to fabricate electrical/mechanical harnesses and other electrical/mechanical assemblies for instillation kits
• Support Senior Technicians and Integration Specialist as required
• Train to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc
• Assist with loading/unloading of incoming/outgoing shipments
• Train to operate a fork lift
• Other Duties as Assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS

• High School diploma or graduate equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

• Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day
• Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices
• Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/belowshoulders
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances
