Laboratory Technician I - (Johnston, IA)

Great opportunity for recent graduates looking for lab experience!

Responsibilities

- Prepare Lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, equipment, safety, and cleaning

- Supports the testing process by preparing samples for analysis

- Working in seed quality testing laboratory with a focus on vigor and viability germination testing.

- Plant germination tests by shaking and sorting kernels onto germination substrate.

- Place germination tests in different growth environments.

- A Science related Degree: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or equivalent

- Strong attention to detail

- Experience with basic lab skills

- Computer and data entry skills

- Demonstrate an ability to multitask

- Must be able to work independently as well as work collaboratively within the team environment.

- Good written and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
