SUMMARY


As a Lab IT Support Specialist at Axia, you’ll be a part of the IT team focused on providing superior first level support to our Pennsylvania and Indiana laboratories. This will include being a part of project initiatives as well as day to day support activities within the labs. Although you’ll report into IT, you’ll be an extension of and work collaboratively with the lab team on a daily basis. This position will be located in our Oaks, PA laboratory.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide direct, hands on IT support for Axia’s laboratories
  • Perform troubleshooting of mild to moderately complex issues involving general PC equipment and laboratory analyzers
  • Support the Lab Information System including break/fix troubleshooting, build for new staff and practices, and other activities as assigned
  • Participate in laboratory projects as needed by the lab such as Instrument interfacing and new systems deployments.
  • Perform application maintenance for lab systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Lab IT services and, in collaboration with the broader IT team, executes on those opportunities.
  • Maintain all required regulatory documentation in an inspection-ready manner.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Performs all procedures as per policy.
  • Required attendance at staff meetings and training including continuing education programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree or equivalent blend of education and experience
  • 1-3 years Healthcare IT experience, preferably in laboratory applications or setting
  • 5 years experience deploying and repairing computers.
  • Knowledge of Orchard Copia, Harvest and eClinicalWorks a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
