Kitchen Lead

We prepare breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, toasts, oats, smoothies/shakes, acai bowls, salads/buddha bowls, etc. all of which are highly customizable and made fresh. We operate a cafe + drive thru so are looking for someone who can prep and execute our menu with a high level of precision, quickly. Additionally we have built out our kitchen staff to regularly 3 part deployment and anticipate the staff dedicated to food growing as the business continues to ramp so there will be opportunity for multiple head count management and expanded function.

We are also looking for someone with the potential to develop and partner with us on ordering and inventory, purchasing, menu and flavor creation, food operations, training and potentially multi-unit support. This is a gateway job to potentially significantly more for the right candidate.

Prep responsibilities include making syrups, sauces, proprietary powders and other craft components in addition to food prep: mixing proprietary sauces, deli meats, fruits and vegetables, smoothie components, acai, overnight oats, variety of cold coffee and tea toddy's, beverage powders, etc.

Gladly Coffee is an emerging coffee concept in the San Diego Market. Built by former baristas who get it, at its core is a desire to deliver great high quality boutique products in the cup and on the plate to our community alongside genuine, real customer care. We are a coffeebar with cafe + Drive Thru. We are a community meeting place. We have a burgeoning art and music scene.

You: smart, fast, experienced as a line cook, cafe cook or other relevant food background. You are genuine, taking care of people gets you up in the morning are looking for something for a couple of years or career. A great smile. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
