Kitchen Aide

Help prepare and serve meals to our kids. We prepare over 1,000 meals per day. This is a fast paced job.

You will also perform other various tasks. These include but are not limited to unloading food from delivery trucks and putting the food into storage, cleaning up after serving meals, maintaining sanitary conditions, cleaning the kitchen and dining area, emptying and carrying out trash, and assisting in inventory control and keeping track of meals served each day. You will also be required to perform other tasks as assigned.

This is a part-time job, 25 hours per week. There are two 5-hour shifts:

• 1:00 to 7:00 with an hour for lunch.
• 2:30 to 7:30.

Starting pay is $12.00 - $14.00 per hour depending on prior experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old and a HS graduate or GED.
• Must have reliable transportation to work on time every day.
• Must have a valid driver license, and be able to drive.
• Must be able to perform high school level arithmetic calculations and reading comprehension.
• Must pass a ten-panel drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must live within a 30 minute drive time to Fort Wayne.
• Experience in working in a kitchen or fast food restaurant a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to adapt to inclement weather conditions and/or situations. Ability to move easily across a variety of indoor and outdoor surfaces. Possess the strength and agility to climb stairs, lift and carry 25 pounds at least 20 feet. Possess the speech, vision and hearing functions necessary the essential job functions and to respond effectively to emergency situations. Capable of performing physically and mentally in a reasonable manner all essential job responsibilities, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
