Jr. Network Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Junior Network Engineer for a large healthcare provider in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities for the Junior Network Engineer:

• Participate in the routing/switching and other network maintenance projects for brand new state-of-the-art facility

Qualifications for the Junior Network Engineer:

• 1 year of Network Engineering/Network Analyst experience
• Routing/switching knowledge
• Cabling experience - CAT 5/6
• Understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) - ideal
• Understanding of LAN technologies, WAN technologies, Internet, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, VPNs, NAT, IP telephony, and firewalls.
• Net+ certification - a plus

Compensation/Benefits for the Junior Network Engineer:

• $21/hr W2 (6+ month contract)
