Job Description
    DutiesSummary

    This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, National Archives and Records Administration. As a/an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW), you will be responsible for the overall success of IT initiatives and related activities for NARA. IT activities are involved in every facet of NARA, including program and administrative activities. .


    Responsibilities

    As a IT SPECIALIST (APPSW), you will:

    - Serve as a system administrator and developer/system architect for NARA-wide Information Technology (IT) and the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform and is the technical expert for performing system administration, configuration, development, testing, documentation and user support of the Salesforce platform.

    • Help to develop governance for implementing new use cases into the Salesforce platform as well as standard operating procedures (SOPs) or policies for service ticket management in regards to the Salesforce platform.

    • Serve as a lead developer/architect or developer/architect team member on Salesforce configuration and development projects.

    QualificationsYou must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    • Developing software and developing on the Salesforce Platform (creating: objects, custom fields, field-level security, workflow rules, Apex triggers, picklists, page layouts, approval processes, validation rules, custom tabs, reports, and dashboards); AND
    • Performing Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities using agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.); AND
    • Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting custom solutions using the Salesforce Platform.

    In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

    1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
    2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
    3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
    4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Education
