Job Description
Assists the PMO Director with the successful planning, implementation, and deployment of Information Technology solutions in an enterprise environment. Assists the PMO Director with developing and implementing project management best practices, fine-tuning the strategic direction of the PMO in its support of agency initiatives, as well as support to the overall mission and goals of the Information Technology department. Assists the PMO Director with the successful implementation of Information Technology projects. This includes evaluating, recommending, planning, implementing, documenting, and coordinating the deployment of IT solutions. Coordinates communications and technical directions between SCDOT departments, their end users, and outside consultants related to information technology projects. Develops strategic plans and directions related to technology projects including project best practices, use of innovative technologies for project collaboration and communication, and the development of project tracking and reporting tools. Assists the PMO Director with developing and deploying project management standards in an enterprise IT environment. Performs other duties as needed.

A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and three (3) years of experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
