The Private Wealth Development department supports the Private Wealth Sales, Institutional Sales, Wealth Management, Marketing and Operations departments. This role is within the Mobile App Development Team which is responsible for the Private Wealth Management Mobile App and iAdvisor. The Private Wealth Management (PMW) Mobile App is an iOS app that allows our clients to view details about their Bernstein accounts and holdings, securely share documents with their Advisors, request cash withdrawals and deposit checks. iAdvisor is an iOS mobile app used by our Advisors to securely access the information they need when they are out of the office meeting with clients and prospects.

IT Job Description:

We are seeking a Nashville based iOS Developer to join our Private Wealth Technology Team.

Describe the role:

This position will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the mobile apps noted above. The candidate will work on strategic and tactical projects to enhance app capabilities while continuing to support existing features and functionality. The PWM Mobile App Development team works in an agile environment, so in addition to designing and implementing mobile software the candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with business analysts, product owners, UI/UX designers, API developers and business users on a daily basis.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and develop mobile app features using Swift (and Objective C when required)

  • Work closely with business users to understand their needs and formulate solutions.

  • Coordinate and oversee the quality assurance and user acceptance testing phases.

  • Ultimately responsible for the success of the projects and tasks assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Qualifications, Experience, Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related major.

Skills:

  • 3+ years Swift

  • 3+ years Objective C

  • Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • User interface design and development

  • Proficiency with Apple frameworks and tools

  • Experiences with shipping and maintaining at least one app on the App Store

  • Good understanding of App Store review processes and Apple iOS guidelines

  • Experience collaborating with API developers, particularly as relates to building API specs

  • Experience working closely with designers to execute polished UI

  • Strong objected oriented analysis and design

  • Very strong written and oral communication skills

Special Knowledge (Not Required):

  • Although not required, knowledge of Azure, DevOps, Git, Python and Xamarin are desirable.

  • Experience automating tasks with Azure DevOps or other CI tools a plus

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Wealth Management/Investment Management process and data domain knowledge

  • Experience automating tasks with Azure DevOps or other CI tools
