About this Position

The Investment Solutions Internal Consultant will be responsible for working with key field leaders to leverage their distribution channels to increase Investment production. Through their developed relationships, the Internal Consultan will guide teams through the Securities licensing process, investment basics training and Investment applications. On a weekly basis, this position will interact with 25-30 assigned sales leaders to drive engagement of their organization, as well as work directly with key members in their organization.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Additional responsibilities include responding to telephone and email inquiries from investment representatives pertaining to mutual funds, annuities, and managed investments. This role will require a strong understanding of the PFS Investments product set with respect to current business and regulatory environments. A general knowledge of how products fit together will be important when assisting PFSI representatives in devising an investment solution that is in the best interest of their client. A fundamental understanding of market dynamics and investment vehicles sold outside PFSI will be required, as those vehicles may be used in product comparison conversations with our representatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in Spanish is highly desired

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience

  • Series 6 required or able to be completed within 60 days (Series 26 and 65/66 is a plus)

  • Knowledge of investments, retirement plan products, and market dynamics

  • Effective oral and written communication and coaching skills

  • Effective problem solving/analysis skills

  • Excellent PC computer skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to quickly and efficiently adapt to changes in procedures or policies

  • Able to perform assigned tasks within the specified time frames and meet quality expectations

  • Leadership ability

  • Excellent attendance record

  • Some travel will be required (~10%)
