ABOUT THE ROLE

The main purpose of the Interior Maintenance Technician I is:

• To ensure guests at American Dream have a positive shopping and entertainment experience. This position is accountable for maintaining the facility in good repair.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Perform the following duties, but not limited to, general plumbing repairs, carpentry, sheetrock work, and tile work throughout the center.
• Paint common areas, offices and service corridor walls within the center.
• Perform Marketing set ups; including stanchions, stages, chairs, and special assembly or construction for events.
• Assist with promotional staging, performs other construction/assembly tasks and set up of promotional events.
• Ensure the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas.
• Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times.
• Maintain and repair American Dream property.
• Provides support and assistance to maintenance team members and other departments as requested by supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE

• Graduate of a trade or vocational school program in building maintenance or related field preferred.
• One (1)+ years experience in building maintenance position required.
• Knowledge of ceramic tile repair and installation helpful.
• Knowledge of building maintenance industry.
• Ability to operate Arial lifts up to 35’.
• Able to safely operate power and hand tools a must.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays required.

• Perform repetitive motion - occasionally 25% of time
• Stand and move - frequently 90% of time
• Reach at chest level - occasionally 25% of time
• Reach above or below shoulder level - occasionally 25% of time
• Kneel and bend - occasionally 25% of time.
• Stoop/Squat - occasionally 20% of time.
• Lift/carry up to 10 lbs - occasionally 25% of time.
• Lift/carry 25 – 50 lbs – occasionally - 25% of time
• Lift/carry up to 75 pounds - infrequently 5 % of time
• Push/pull - occasionally 45% of time
• Able to work at heights between 10 to 35 ft - infrequently 10% of time
