Job Description

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about helping our clients obtain their dream space by following our detailed design process. This role will best suit someone who is looking for the challenge of running their own business with a design partner, but also enjoys opportunities to interact with a growing team!

FBC Remodel is a design/build residential re-modeler. We have been specializing in this wonderful niche for over 23 years and look forward to growing our team! If you were to join our team, you would be working with our award-winning design and construction team creating spaces that become the most fun part of a home. We have been awarded the prestigious national awards, including the coveted Chrysalis award, and local design and construction honors through NARI and home builders’ associations. Most recently we were awarded the HGTV Faces of Design Award. While some clients like funky design, others prefer traditional spaces.

Job Duties: To be split between 2 designers…

· Get to know the homeowner’s needs, design style, budget and personal preferences during the design consult,

· Complete measure and as-built.

· Develop custom designs to wow our clients using our software, Chief Architect.

· Create plans for construction (Plans, elevations and material selections).

· Walk clients through 3D and 2D noted plans.

· Responsible for selling 2 projects per month as a result of using our process, team collaboration and building relationships with homeowners.

· Specify and guide clients in choosing hard finishes for their beautiful new space and ensure project budget is maintained.

· Collaborate with project team proactively and develop solutions for any design issues that arise during the project build out by working with the estimator and project manager.

Job Requirements

· 1 plus year(s) of sales experience preferred

· A degree or certificate in architecture, space planning and/or interior design

· Must be proficient in Chief Architect prior to your official start date.

· The desire to learn and execute the FBC Remodel design/sales process.

· Previous experience in a highly collaborative team environment with fixed deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
