Interim MCH Assistant Manager, RN

Thaxton is currently recruiting for an Interim MCH Assistant Nurse Manager position in Oakland, CA.

Schedule: Days 5 8's

Assignment Duration: 13-week assignment with the possibility of being extended.

Job Description: Manages activities of the unit(s), monitors quality, service and utilization standards, as well as supervises the day-to-day shift activities.

Essential Functions:

· The Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of the unit.

· The position is a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. Under the direction of the Unit Director and is responsible for the consistent implementation and monitoring of organizational policies and standards within the unit.

· The Nurse manager is responsible for knowledge and application of all personnel policies and requirements of the collective bargaining agreements.

· They will assist the Unit Director, in promoting the accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the unit.

· Will be responsible for monitoring specialty area operations to identify and report problems associated with staff performance, resource issues, and patient care issues to the Unit Director.

· The Nurse Manager is responsible for decision-making within the established annual unit budget and for making recommendations and decisions, which promote the cost-effective allocation of resources.

Qualifications:

· Must possess an active CA RN License.

· At least 2-5+ years of management experience functioning in a similar position within clinical specialty required.

· BSN preferred, experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
