Department SummaryTeach North Texas is an undergraduate secondary science, mathematics and computer science teacher education program at UNT and is one of 45 national UTeach replication sites. In this program, experienced secondary teachers teach and train pre-service secondary teachers in the implementation of innovative best practices.
Position OverviewWe seek a talented individual with a diverse background to leverage virtual reality technology to support TNT’s mission of preparing and supporting secondary teachers of mathematics, science, and computer science. This position is responsible for supporting the Mursion program requiring a general educational knowledge and in-depth knowledge of related function specializations. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks which may include project planning around a blend of artificial intelligence and live human interaction, scheduling, reporting, and grant writing.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional acting or improv experience
  • Ability to play a variety of characters of different age ranges, backgrounds, and personalities
  • A mastery of their actor’s instrument: voice, body, and imagination
  • Experience with gaming technology (not required, but a plus)
  • Capacity to both understand and honestly portray diverse psychological profiles
  • Ability to adapt to program/project and incorporate creativity and originality

  • Interact with existing Virtual Reality platform to deliver classroom teaching simulations for UNT
  • Deliver simulations for external users
  • Prepare and train to deliver specific scenario objectives
  • Rehearse and maintain specific scenario objectives
  • Communicate professionally and manage schedule

  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with appropriate stakeholders
  • Acts as point of contact for stakeholders related to program/project
  • Markets program for the university
