Job Description

We are seeking a top-tier candidate for camera integration testing. This position will will interact with various camera product teams in addition to third party technology partners to develop and execute accurate and effective tests.

The Integration Test Engineer, Cameras is a full-time position, reporting to the Director of Integration and Customization and the Test Lead. The position is located in Fresno, California or Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs risk analysis of product changes and recommends appropriate test strategies.

  • Collaborates with Project Management and Product Support to define customer equipment configurations to be used for testing.

  • Takes leadership initiative to work with internal and external partners on identifying root cause of and driving resolution of product issues

  • Can collaborate with internal and external development teams in a clear and professional manner

  • Takes ownership of test development and execution of tests validating software applications, often writing scripts or using automation tools to be as efficient as possible.

  • Tracks and reports product quality and coverage trends during development life-cycle.

  • Develops and maintains an automated testing framework.

  • Participates in the advancement of test engineering processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year software testing or development experience.

  • Ability to pick up new technologies involving video management software quickly

  • Familiar with software test methodologies and a passion for testing and high quality as an engineering discipline.

  • Thorough understanding of web services such as SOAP and REST.

  • Experience planning test cycles against internally developed and published API’s.

  • In-depth knowledge of commonly used Test Management tools, including defect and test tracking tools.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills with demonstrable success in a fast-paced software engineering organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python computer programming.

  • Experience with Agile and sprint-based development methodologies.

  • Experience leading test efforts according to an Agile methodology.

  • Experience with IP video interactions with a variety of industry camera devices and VMS software

  • Working knowledge of network troubleshooting tools, such as WireShark

  • Experience with streaming video over a network.

  • Experience with cyber-security.

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study and one year of software test experience
