Job Description

At SLPTELE the Intake Coordinator is responsible for verifying insurance and Medicare; converting authorizations to confirmed sessions; scheduling, and maintaining medical records in accordance with Federal, State, and County guidelines, as well as in accordance with our established policies and procedures. The Intake Coordinator creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth and a positive emphasis with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating Speech-Language Services for clients, in a timely manner
  • Maintain a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the organization
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient care information to assure rights are protected
  • Staff appropriate Clinicians per MD orders. Confirm and document the following Physician information
  • Use electronic powerdialer system to manage inbound and outbound calls
  • Monitor quality of calls and develop metrics and KPIs using dashboard
  • Identify process improvements and continuous improvement
  • Make welcome calls to patients/family to confirm information is correct
  • Upload completed referrals into the EMR record
  • Enter new patient data in the SLPTELE portal record
  • Responsible for growing the intake team in the US and overseas
  • On-call duties as needed, on weekends, and after hours

Requirements

  • Preference will be given to candidates located in Southern California
  • Prior experience as Intake/Admissions or in the telehealth industry preferred
  • A minimum of two years of experience in telehealth services is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, telehealth services, and G-Suite products preferred
