Job Description

Interim HealthCare is currently seeking a full-time Insurance Verification Specialist based out of our Manchester, NH office. The insurance verification specialist is responsible for verifying client insurance coverage and entering data in a timely manner. This position requires strong customer services skills and the ability to spend extensive time on the phone throughout the day. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as a customer service representative in all interactions with caregivers, in-office employees and clients
  • Obtains and Tracks authorizations as required by payers
  • Serves as a valuable resource to clients, providing them with pertinent information regarding their coverage
  • Works with clients to explain coverage amounts provided by their insurance policy, so they can understand why some procedures may be covered, while others are not
  • Access to use and ability to disclose PHI in a confidential manner

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with insurance and healthcare billing policies and procedures
  • Must have basic computer skills and be proficient at data entry
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to use sound judgement and decision-making skills within parameters established by Manager
