What you will do

Reporting to the Global Director, Inside Sales, the Inside Sales Specialist will be working closely with our Special Hazards sales team and sales engineering to follow up on quotations and make sure we are the brand of choice for the customer. The individual will be based in our Marinette, WI facility (or remote/virtual) and will be assigned a specific group of Key Account customers to proactively support throughout the sales cycle.

NOTE: This position is located in Marinette, WI, however, we are open to remote candidates in any location throughout the US, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zones.

How you will do it

  • Assist in the achievement, and act in support of, the sales of Johnson Controls Fire Products into the approved markets in support of assigned company goals and quotas.
  • Identify decision makers amongst the targeted leads to start the sales process.
  • Cooperate with Regional Sales Managers to determine essential strategic approaches for sales.
  • Attend sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on market situation.
  • Coordinate with customer service for status on orders from related plant departments in ensuring the given delivery commitment to the customer is met.
  • Handle follow-up process on quotations and communicate results to Sales and Business Development.
  • Manage leads that are received through the website or phone and qualify before handing off to outside sales or distributor.
  • Outbound and inbound account management.
  • Participate in training sessions, meetings, skill building, and professional development classes.
  • Focus on presenting an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Associate degree with 3-5 years related sales/telesales experience or 10 years sales/telesales experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with fire suppression industry products preferred
  • Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient level computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with JD Edwards, SAP, or similar ERP systems a plus
  • Excellent telephone sales personality skills.
  • Should be expert in utilizing a CRM software solution. Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • Prominent organization and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Highly energetic and self-starter
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
  • Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position.
