Inside Sales Representative
Geared for growth.USA Shade & Fabric Structures Inc. (a division of PlayPower), a world leader in the manufacturing and construction of outdoor steel and fabric shade structures is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative. We are an aggressive and challenging specialty contractor performing design/build projects in the rapidly advancing tensile structures field. We are dedicated to partnering with our clients, making their design concepts a reality, and continuing to advance fabric architecture.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting and generating sales of diverse shade products in a national and/or regional assigned area through relationship building and by demonstrating exemplary organization, product knowledge, and customer service skills. The Inside Sales Representative helps develop and support new and existing 3rd party distributors and national accounts as well as working directly with end users.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions):
  • Develop new distributors and national accounts within assigned territory using various methods including, but not limited to, cold calling, attending trade shows, face-to-face meetings and direct telephone and internet marketing from office.
  • Work with existing distributors and national accounts to develop new business and cultivate existing business relationships.
  • Collaborate with other departments i.e. project management and engineering to ensure a positive customer service experience and client satisfaction.
  • Track, measure and analyze personal and territory performance through the company’s CRM tool.
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals to distributors and national account customers.
  • Perform various administrative tasks i.e. conceptual drawing requests, design drawing requests, and completing reports and paperwork as needed.
  • Work on Company Sales team “projects” on an as assigned basis.

  • Above average to superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, Dynamics CRM, PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Sales ability from our Irving office location
  • Strong organizational skills

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year inside or outside sales experience (preferred)

Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in park and recreation or commercial shade fields
  • Entry level project management experience

Physical Demands:
  • Moderate amount of time typing/use of keyboard
  • Moderate amount of time talking and making online and phone presentations

Working Conditions:
  • Considerable work in an office
  • Minimal overnight travel (5%)
